Cultivating a relationship with God so that He can exposing lies that are intertwined with Biblical Truth.
The lies that we have come to believe as truth keep us from an intimate relationship with God. Unchallenged, these lies fester in our hearts and souls causing behavior that will destroy us and our families.
This blog is a daily study to assist you in developing spiritual disciplines, to assist you in asking yourself the hard questions, to assist you in exposing the lies you believe to be true. We will challenge you, encourage you, and lead you into a habit of seeking Truth.
1 John 2:4 – Phillips Translation – “It is only when we obey God’s laws that we can be quite sure that we really know Him. The man who claims to know God but does not obey His laws is not only a liar but lives in self-delusion. In practice, the more a man learns to obey God’s laws the more truly and fully does he express his love for Him. Obedience is the test of whether we really live “in God” or not. The life of a man who professes to be living in God must bear the stamp of Christ.”
How do we expose the lies from the Truth?
Daily Disciplines. Spiritual and physical disciplines exercise our spirit, mind, emotions and bodies so that we become one with the Holy Spirit that dwells within us.
2 Timothy 1:7 – “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.”
Titus 2:11-13 – “For the grace of God has appeared that offers salvation to all people. It teaches us to say “No” to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age, while we wait for the blessed hope – the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ.”
We are believers in the power of the Holy Spirit! The Bible tells us the Holy Spirit was sent to “teach us in all things, to bring to our memory all that Jesus taught, to be in close fellowship with us, to search the depths of our hearts and reveal the mysteries of God.”
John 14:26 –”But the Advocate, the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in my name, will teach you all things and will remind you of everything I have said to you.”
1 Corinthians 2:10-12 – “The spirit searches all things, even the deep things of God. For who knows a person’s thoughts except their own spirit within them? In the same way no one knows the thoughts of God except the Spirit of God. What we have received is not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, so that we may understand what God has freely given us”.
